A Narrative Story About Medieval Times

In class, students have discussed the characteristics and elements of a narrative story. Students co-constructed an anchor chart, brainstormed ideas to write a story about medieval times, wrote a rough copy and published their work. 

Learning Goal: we will plan and write a story about medieval times and follow the characteristics of narrative when writing

Success Criteria:

  • Using the planning web, plan and organize ideas for your story
  • Write a rough copy and use your planning web to help write
  • Peer edit your work as discussed and co-constructed in class
  • Revise and make changes as needed
  • Publish your final work
  • Post on class blog


4V Welcomes Dr. Marian Small to Our Class

On April 15, 2014, our class had the opportunity to welcome several teachers from HPEDSB into our class along with Dr. Marian Small to co-teach a math lesson about fractions. Students were very engaged in the lesson and enjoyed the collaborative learning.

Happy Earth Day 2014

What is Earth Day? Earth Day was created in 1970 to celebrate the Earth and the environment. Today,the day is celebrated around the world and activities  and events are coordinated together to promote environmental stewardship. Our class will be cleaning up our very large school yard and tidying up our memorial monument and garden for Amy Jacklin.
