Surveys
In class, students have been discussing primary and secondary data, types of graphs and doing surveys. Today, students created a bar graph and pictograph.
Learning Goal: To collect and interpret data and create graphs to show results.
Success Criteria:
- To develop a question to ask students/pubic about a topic. Ex. Favourite Foods.\

How do media images and advertisements in magazines, signs and the Internet influence our health? How can it be improved? How can it be changed? What is your point of view?
Word Choice
During our shared reading, students have been critically thinking about good word choice. Students used this example of a cheese burger to create a list of adjectives to describe the picture.
Students in the class created some interesting sentences using words developed in class.
1) This is a healthy, fabulous, colourful, layered, crunchy, delicious, mouth watering cheeseburger. ( By Erin)
2) For people who are vegetarians, this picture is disgusting and ugly. For everyone else, the burger is a sweet, delicious, fabulous, mouth watering perfect score. ( By Olivia)
