Writing: Fantastic Mr. Fox

Students in class have been planning their ideas to do a piece of writing which outlines their opinions about the novel Fantastic Mr. Fox. A framework on December 2nd was posted in our blog. Today in class, students began to write their rough copy.

Learning Goal: We will communicate our opinions about the novel Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Success Criteria:

  1. Use our framework to communicate our ideas
  2. Write our ideas in complete sentences
  3. Communicate clearly and give details to communicate (digging deeper)
  4. Check over – spelling, grammar, punctuation at the end of the writing task
  5. Four paragraphs written that have clearly communicated ideas ( Indent to show)

In class, we are continuing to discuss cause and effect. We read through “If You Give a Moose a Muffin” and “If You Give a Pig a Pancake”.  We picked out the some of the causes and effects and looked at some of the transition words used in the picture books.
